You can now sign up for our biggest fundraiser of the year - our MCH Fun Run! Signing up is free, easy, and helps our school community. This year's goal is $25,000.
How Does It Work?
On September 30th, our fundraising campaign kicks off culminating in our Fun Run event on October 10th, where students will participate in multiple laps of running, walking, and dancing! This will add up to 35 laps of physical activity. Students can share their donation page to get donations from friends & family for every lap they participate in the MCH Fun Run ($1 per lap = $35 to help our school!). Or, donors can choose to make a flat donation.
What Are We Raising Money For?
The Fun Run benefits the MCH PTO, and the funds raised directly support initiatives that benefit our entire school community. Did you know it costs $14,000 a year to provide transportation for field trips, a cost that would otherwise be passed along to students’ families if the PTO did not use their funds to cover it? In addition to keeping field trip costs low, funds raised from Fun Run will:
- Assemblies
- Provide financial assistance to our families-in-need
- Award Teacher Grants
- Support a revitalization of our new courtyards, including new furniture for outdoor learning
- "Boredom Boxes" for indoor recess options
How Can You Help?
- SIGN UP your student on MYBOOSTER.COM by searching “Mary C Howse Elementary”
- Create a STUDENT STAR VIDEO to share with friends & family by uploading a photo of your student or a drawing they did if you prefer
- SHARE your student’s donation page with friends & family. Last year, over 68% of donations from this fundraiser came from outside the home.
- Sign-up to volunteer at the event. Due to school policy, you can not attend the event unless you are signed up to volunteer and have your clearances on file in the office.
